Living 400 mi away, it was a concern of mine for doing business with a monument company regarding a marker for my mother of which I wanted done precisely as I wanted. Schlitzberger met the task. Kimberly was kind, understanding, and informative throughout the process. The communication lines were always open for me, and they always kept me informed in every step of the way. They sent me diagrams of the work before it began for my approval, and a picture of the installed marker at the grave site. I can say that my apprehensions were unfounded, and that I highly recommend them to you.

The process was easy. So pleased with results.

Went in to see samples of monuments because my husband and I had 2 plots. My husband passed away last year (2023) and so I wanted to purchase a monument that would sit over both plots. I wanted the monument to speak of both our lives and I had an idea of what I wanted. The process was easy. So pleased with results. It is amazing on how the monument looks and its quality. All family and friends love it as well. Thank you for listening to what I wanted and you made it happen.

I really appreciated the A+ workmanship and care

Schlitzbergers has been very helpful to me. I originally got a footstone for my mother’s site. Schlitzberger helped me with a match up of granite, decoration and font. I then decided that I wanted to have a vase to put in between my father’s footstone and my mother’s. That was placed over my mother’s; then I found out that the cemetery would not allow one to be put between the two. I ordered another vase to be put over my father’s. Finally, when my mother passed, I asked Schlitzberger to engrave it with the final dates. The cemetery required certain paperwork. After all of that was taken care of Schlitberger was able to do the engraving. They called me to let me know that the work was complete and I really appreciated that. A+ workmanship and care. I can’t think of anything that could have been done better. Any problems were out of their control.

I wouldn’t go anywhere else

I have been there before and I was very satisfied. I knew what I was getting, so I wouldn’t go anywhere else. I really don’t think there is anything that could be done to improve the experience. I know the delay was because of the pandemic and that could not be helped. I am very pleased and I will use you again. Thank you very much.

This is our family’s fourth experience with Schlitzberger and Daughters. Every time we use the company we have been completely satisfied with both the service provided, and the final product ordered. VERY HELPFUL with Cemeteries. Maria should develop a how to bury your parents mediator app. The rules/laws these days cause so much anguish in a time where it shouldn’t be so complicated – especially when you own plots – not rent/lease – own. Legal stuff. The solution is to use Schlitzberger & Daughters. The Daughters have it going on and will solve your problem calmly. Ordering and receiving takes time, so don’t be disappointed when it’s 2-3 months down the line. Google the topic. Very common. These people seem to be the salt of the earth. What could have been done to improve your experience?: {I should have} Trusted Maria from the first time I spoke to her so I wouldn’t have worried so much.

Lea was a joy to work with. She was quite knowledgeable about stone types, prices and displayed a real “people-person” attitude. I wanted to meet the guys at the cemetery and identify the exact spot we wanted the marker placed. I work a 12-hour shift but Lea assured me that they could accommodate my schedule with theirs. I was called several days ahead of a day they had available and it fit my shift schedule. I arrived 25 minutes early and the guys were already there waiting on me. They installed the marker perfectly and professionally. I asked if they could level two other existing markers and they did so. They were very nice and respectful in their work…cleaning up as they progressed in their tasks. Nothing [could have improved the experience]…the job was completed beautifully! I am quite pleased.

You, your designer and craftsmen transposed this sketch onto a polished granite stone palette and transformed this stone into a genuine art piece in bas-relief. It is indeed a remarkable statement of a genuine expression that was hoped for in the design sketch. I thank you and your design team for capturing that which was hopefully intended in the original design sketch. In like manner, your staff who put in place the completed ledger at the gravesite was very meticulous in executing the installation. It is level and the ground surrounding the ledger was compacted with the available earth and grass. The site was left neat and clean and the ledger was polished clean. Thank you for the work which you have done on bringing this project to completion. I look forward to your support and maintenance of this project. I am indeed very pleased.

We are extremely pleased with the work

We visited the grave site of my father today and we are extremely pleased with the work. Thanks for creating a beautiful memorial for our loved one. Upon completion of the memorial, I was contacted by phone and an email was sent. A photo of the memorial was sent in an attachment. This allowed me to see the actual work and admire it while planning a trip to the cemetery. I appreciated this method of communication. I was also impressed with the professionalism and courtesy of the office staff and the workers who did the actual construction of the memorial.

Compassionate! I was in tears during the process of planning and ordering my mother’s gravestone. There was so much compassion and care coming from the staff worker, and I knew that I had called the right place. They didn’t nickle and dime me for everything I was wanting on Mom’s gravestone. It was a relief to pay one flat rate for wording, borders, and decorations. I am grateful that this is one more way that I can honor my mom. When I told my family that I was ordering Mom’s gravestone from Schlitzberger & Daughters from Houston, one of my aunts exclaimed, “That is the same place that made your grandma and grandpa’s gravestones!” Even though we live in North East Texas, Mom requested to be buried by grandma and grandpa south of Houston. I love the way the Lord lead me to Schlitzberger & Daughters! {What could we have done to improve your experience?} Absolutely nothing more than to be yourselves! Had a death date put on an existing marker. Excellent process on getting an estimate…asked for a picture and the measurements of the stone. They recognized the script. Got a quote the same day. Received the mock-up of the new inscription on the day I dropped off the marker. The marker was completed within 2 weeks. I was very happily surprised with the turnaround time. The marker looks great!
